Colin Wiebe is the recipient of the 2002 Abbotsford Community Policing Award.

Colin has been a member of the Abbotsford Police Department since May 2000 and has volunteered with the Central Fraser Valley Search & Rescue since 1993.

To date, Colin has held a variety of positions with C.F.V.S.R. including Trainer, Vice President, and Treasurer and has been President of this vital organization for the past 2 years.

The 2005 Abbotsford Community Policing Award bestowed on Colin, recognizes his many volunteer hours for call responses, frequent training, and his fund-raising efforts to ensure that the the Central Fraser Valley Search & Rescue remains in a position to assist in future rescue efforts.

Colin has also frequently manned the Central Fraser Valley Search & Rescue public education booths at a variety of community events, and will, no doubt, continue doing so in future. So next time you see one of these booths, you will very likely see Colin serving the public as he has done for so many years!
