Most
of the time, police officers are regarded by the
community merely as enforcers of the law. While
this is true, it's not the whole story.
Many
of our police officers do a lot more than deliver
outstanding service during their workday - they
put their hearts and sould into community efforts
in ways we often don't hear about - efforts for
which they may receive little, if any recognition.
The
Community Policing Award is one way in which we
can express our appreciation and recognition of
these 'extramural' and often unpaid volunteer activities.
Have
